


Roger Hewins is President and Founder of Wipfli Hewins Investment Advisors and Hewins Financial Advisors. He is involved in every aspect of the firms’ investment management consulting services, personally serving many of our largest clients and overseeing over a dozen Consultants who serve almost 600 clients with $2 billion in assets. The firms are active participants in Callan’s Independent Adviser Group (IAG) and are approved advisors with Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA).
Roger has over 28 years of experience in financial and investment management. Before founding Hewins Financial Advisors in 1999, he served as Senior Vice President of PR Taylor Associates, where he led that firm's investment management consulting practice. Roger was directly responsible for their institutional and high net worth consulting activity as well as the firm's 401(k) advisory services. PR Taylor was an early member of the Callan IAG and was an approved DFA advisor.
Prior to PR Taylor, Roger was Vice President at Wells Fargo Investment Advisors, which later became Barclays Global Investors (BGI) and now Blackrock, the world’s largest index fund manager. There he managed cash assets of $15 billion in multiple currencies, supervised $5 billion of hedging activity, and worked directly with clients on risk management issues. Prior to assuming those responsibilities, Roger was Cash Manager in the Treasury Department at Intel Corporation, where he managed over $1 billion of cash assets, a $400 million commercial paper program, and a $300 million stock index arbitrage program as well as currencies and derivatives.
Roger served four years in the United States Marine Corps as a Combat Engineer Officer from 1977-81. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Fordham University and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
