Roger Hewins

Substance

"For me the word is substance. I do not know much about selling. But I have spent most of my life on ethical, transparent, institutional quality investing. We disclose everything to our clients. Those who are governed by the NASD do not. If you cannot see exactly what you are paying for financial advice, you may be unaware of potential conflicts of interest."

One of Roger Hewins' first professional jobs during business school was managing a team who sold burial insurance in Louisiana. In spite of his lack of sales experience and his "Yankee" accent, he was one of their best. He found that being clear with people – helping them understand exactly what they are buying – was far better than any sales pitch.

President and Founder Roger C. Hewins III is involved in every aspect of our investment management consulting services. He personally oversees the largest institutional and family clients. He also manages our innovative joint venture with Wipfli CPAs and Consultants.

Based on his experience with institutional money management, Roger helps institutions set up straightforward and transparent investment policies. There can be many conflicts at the board level, and institutions often feel split on how to manage their portfolios. With Roger at the helm, this process becomes clear and simple.

Roger says, "One of my goals with smaller institutions is to help trustees or board members fulfill their fiduciary responsibilities. Our clear and transparent process helps board members sleep at night."

Roger's extensive experience in institutional money management and sophisticated investing has laid the foundation for Hewins Financial Advisors.
