Kathy Hosty joined Wipfli Hewins Investment Advisors because she wanted to be a part of one of the leading independent alternatives to traditional financial planning providers. Kathy's role as a Senior Vice President at Wipfli Hewins includes maintaining the organization's commitment to the fiduciary level of care, engaging clients in meaningful discussions about their financial situation and goals and supporting them at each step of the process. With almost 30 years of professional capital markets and investment advisory experience, Kathy was eager to combine her extensive knowledge with the transparency of the Wipfli Hewins' culture.

Prior to joining the firm, Kathy served as an investment advisor to high-net-worth individuals at J.P. Morgan and Citibank and raised equity capital from institutional and private investors as co-founder and CEO of a special purpose, private real estate investment company. Additionally, Kathy served for eighteen years as Vice President of Merrill Lynch, Institutional Debt and Equity Capital Markets Group, Chicago. In this role, Kathy advised large institutional investors and assisted them with the identification, design and implementation of municipal bond and alternative investment strategies. Kathy's extensive capital markets managerial experience allows her to focus on big picture and long-term financial planning solutions.

Happily married for over 30 years, Kathy enjoys spending time with her family and friends while partaking in live theatre, opera and the symphony. Kathy is an active member of the Advisory Board for the Brennan School of Business at Dominican University where she works to engage and share ideas with global business leaders, university alumni and the local community. As a member and former Director of the Chicago Finance Exchange, an organization comprised of leading women in Chicago finance, she actively explore issues and ideas pertinent to decision makers in the finance industry. When Kathy slows down, she enjoys reading and long weekends on Lake Michigan.
